Public Information Committee
Volunteers Needed for Vital 12th Step Service
I am responsible …
When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.
What We Need:
AA members who would like to donate a little, or a lot, of time to experience the excitement and fulfillment of carrying the message in this capacity!
How to Find Us:
Area Committee Meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month – 7:00pm for literature and racks.
The meeting starts at 7:30pm in the Area Office.
Why We Do It:
We all made it to AA by some form of AA service. What better way to give back than to help a possible newcomer? Much of the public is strongly misinformed about what AA is. We carry the message by being a daily example and explaining to the public “what AA is” and “what it is not”. Without the work of Public Information there is a chance that the alcoholic who still suffers may never find AA.
Our Efforts Include:
- Tables at Health Fairs
- Tables at AA Events
- Literature Racks in Public Locations
- Diner Placemats
- NJ Transit Posters
- 1-800 Cards
- PSAs
- Open Speaker Meeting Lists
…. And More!!
